The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 19

The Lovers card from the tarot says “Understanding the difference between right and wrong shows us that we have free will to choose to do the right thing or the wrong thing”. How do we teach young children the difference between right and wrong? Well, by observing the magpie! The magpie has high intelligence and takes decisive action….. are the actions right or wrong? The magpie steals shiny objects to keep them out of sight in their home. They are highly suspicious of shiny things. So they are defending their family and territory, whereas to us they can be perceived as clever thieves. The walnut tree is also drenched in choosing between right or wrong. The walnut tree symbolises discernment… the husk and leaves are toxic while the nut itself is healthy for the brain and symbolic of intelligence. The nut even looks like a brain! Exploration of (or ideally in) nature can show us the moral lessons we are searching for. Simply spending time with our young children transfers the morals we know through our own realisation of the symbolism in nature.

The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children is live every Saturday 2.00pm-3.00pm Eastern Time on Revolution Radio (Studio A): https://www.revolution.radio/
