The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 102
Self-defence requires self-esteem. Self-esteem comes from kindness. The King’s daughter, held captive by old man Rinkrank, was forced to care for him as a cook and housemaid. The only was out was to fight in an act of self-defence. How did her self-esteem build in such a horrid situation. She was captured for years! Her acts of kindness must have been reminding her of her good nature, and highlighting the wrong-doing of the recipient of such kindness. This all built up until she couldn’t take it anymore. There are situations in life where we must stick up for ourselves. We must encourage kindness in the children and support them and encourage them to stand up for themselves.
